Eligibility

Person 65 years or older have priority and those 60 to 64 allowed in if no person is available that is 65 or older.

Person has to be functionally independent to functionally independent with the assistance of existing community based services which would not otherwise be appropriately provided for in a health care facility.

A Canadian citizen, individuals lawfully admitted into Canada for permanent residence, refugees sponsored by the Government of Canada, or individuals who have applied for refugee or immigration status and for whom private sponsorship has broken down.

A resident of Canada for at least three (3) years.

Eligibility subject to Core Need Income Thresholds (CNIT): 1-bedroom, max income $36,000/yr. 2-bedroom, max income: $44,000/yr.

Rent

Monthly rent is 30% of income. (Based on line 150 of Federal Income Tax Assessment)

There is currently a $45.00/month charge for electricity which is subject to change.

For those who have a car and utilize a parking stall, there is a $30.00/month charge which is also subject to charge.

Telephone and cable TV are the responsibility of the tenant.
